People decisions, made with rigorand care

Coleman Human Capital Group partners with growing organizations on the HR work that's easy to postpone and expensive to get wrong — strategy, hiring, compliance, and the interim support that keeps people operations steady through change.

About

Built around the idea that HR is a growth function, not a back office.

Coleman Human Capital Group is an independent HR consulting practice founded by Amanda Coleman. The practice works directly with founders, operators, and HR teams who need experienced, hands-on support without the overhead of a full-time hire.

Every engagement starts with the same question: what does this organization actually need its people function to do right now? The answer shapes whether the work looks like a strategy session, a search, or a few months in the seat.

C

Clarity first

Every engagement starts with a plain-language scope and a defined outcome — no open-ended retainers.

H

Hands-on delivery

Work gets done, not just advised on — policies get written, roles get filled, processes get implemented.

C

Context over templates

Recommendations are built around how the organization actually operates, not a generic playbook.

Meet the founder

Amanda Coleman

Founder, Coleman Human Capital Group

My career in human resources has centered on helping organizations scale and modernize — building the people function in step with the business, rather than as an afterthought. This work has spanned standing up HR infrastructure from the ground up to guiding established organizations through the process of updating systems that had outgrown their original design.

I founded Coleman Human Capital Group to extend that same hands-on, embedded approach to organizations that require experienced HR leadership.

Services

Support that scales with what the moment calls for.

Engagements range from a single project to ongoing, part-time HR leadership — scoped to fit the size and stage of the organization.

Approach

A three-step way of working.

i.

Discover

A working session to understand the organization, its people challenges, and what "done" needs to look like.

ii.

Design

A scoped plan — timeline, deliverables, and the specific outcome the engagement is built to produce.

iii.

Deliver

Hands-on execution, with regular check-ins so priorities can shift as the organization's needs do.

Who it's for

A good fit for organizations that need HR expertise, not another headcount line.

  • Early-stage teamsSetting up HR fundamentals for the first time, before a full-time hire makes sense.
  • Growing companiesScaling past the point where informal people processes still hold up.
  • Lean HR teamsNeeding extra hands on a search, a project, or a busy stretch.
  • Organizations in transitionCovering a gap during a leave, a departure, or a restructure.
